Suddenly, I'm a squirrel stockpiling chapters of my story without posting them. I'm four ahead. When did I become such a horder? I don't like squirrels

I don't even mind the programs because hey, a mom with four kids should have a phone, right? But my sister doesn't have kids, she's perfectly capable of working, just chooses not to, and she could stop buying cigarettes and start buying minutes for her phone. That irritates me. Some people truly need it. She does not. Heh.
It's one of those state assistance programs, like housing, food stamps, medical coupons, whatever. And okay, some people could validly need it, but if she always has money to buy cigarettes, I'm thinking she could save those 6 bucks each day and put it towards her phone, you know?
I'm working 'The Limit' right now. And getting a lot done, too!
I kind of understand the need for it, but yeah you are right, if you can spend the money on cigarettes, then you have the money to buy the things you truely need.
Why you so selfish? Keeping those chapters to yourself like that? ;)
That's why state programs like that have such bad reputations. Yes, there are people that really need the help, but there are so many that you see and hear about that are taking advantage of it. That's really sad.
Congrats on the job review! Does it make you a little more likely to stay at that job, knowing that they want you to move up?
I know, right? It's just such a hassle, putting in the tags and blah blah blah.
Yeah, the screening process is pathetic. So bad, really. But if they can't find decent foster parents, I guess I should know better than to expect them taking the time to make sure that only the truly needy get phone services paid for. Oy.
I don't know...I guess it depends how long moving up takes, right? Heh, with this company, it could be awhile. We'll see. They said that they'd love to move me up because I'm an asset to the company. It'd be nice to stay and go up. I'm so wishy washy about it. It's sad, really.

Not sure what to say about your sister except I can understand why you're irate. There are similar things over here which are just as frustrating.
Congrats on your job review! And that's great that they'd like you to apply for a more senior role.
Hope you're able to get warmed up soon.
