I'm glad to hear about the job. That's awesome! And yay about N/H!
As for how I'm doing...pretty well, all things considered. I have no school today or tomorrow because of the air quality because of the fires down here. I'm really lucky that my city is safe from the fire but I've had a couple friends evacuated so I've been pretty worried about them and it's just a sucky situation for all involved.
On a happier note, the University of Pittsburgh accepted me! And I find out in December about Boston College. I'm finishing up the rest of my applications and should hopefully have them done this weekend (I'm hoping?!) because I just want to finish them and not have to worry.
Oh, and I've been keeping up with you and reading your entries (even though I'm am being a bad, bad commentor), and it really seems like you're enjoying your senior year. And I just think that is so great. It's really fun to read about acceptance letters and SATs and all that stuff.
Those fires scare me, and I'm living in the land of rain. I'm glad you're safe, and I hope things continue to improve on the whole down there!
I am enjoying my senior year! Busy and stressful once in awhile but overall so oo much fun. I just love my friends because they are the best. Cosmic bowling last night and a costume party tonight, woo hoo!
And yes, acceptance letters and college stuff galore! I'm so excited!
And the winds have been dying down pretty much and the air quality where I live is better now. Two of my best friends...we've found out their houses are fine and intact and I'm just soo relieved and happy for them. They were both really lucky because most of their town was burned to the ground.
It's always a shock to see a post from you. That must be how my flist feels when I post, hee.
So, so glad you're loving your job, Brynne. And writing! NH, at that! Made of awesome. I miss your writing way more than I should.
My life isn't all that easy right now. My cousin who I'm super close to is in a MESS of legal trouble. He made his bed, but I love him, and it's just... hard, to love someone with problems, you know? Because I want to fix it, fix him, so badly. And I worry, all the time... Yeah, life updates from me aren't depressing or anything. Heh.
I feel like it's awkward in that really uncomfortable way when I post. Like maybe everyone forgot me because it has been a bazillion days or I'll forget all my mad posting skillz and do it wrong. I don't know, it's weird. Best to do it as often as possible then, I suppose.
Yikes, sorry to hear about the family trouble. Sometimes there is nowhere to go but up, and that can be a good thing even while it is being a very bad thing. Because once you get there, at least you get to stop worrying about what else can go wrong!
First post here. :) I'm glad to hear that you're finding your new job to be enjoyable. I think having an occupation that you actually like or even love is the best thing you could ask for in a job. :) Yay that you're writing again. I can't wait to read them.
Yeah, it's hard to not love your job, and since my last job was one I did not love, that makes this one so much more appreciated. I can see myself here for a long time, and that's new and cool for me.
Well, I'll be posting it at my writing journal once it is finished. If my beta is still alive, kicking, and willing to beta...she's as MIA as I generally am!
I'm glad you're enjoying your job. I went back to subbing for this semester because I wasn't able to get a full-time teaching job. I'm looking for one for second semester, so we'll see what happens.
Are teaching jobs hard to come by in your area? My understanding is that some areas are desperate for more decent teachers, but others are difficult for great teachers to find jobs in. Weird how it works. Best of luck, though! I'll send some of my happy job mojo your way!
