Speakeasy & Sunday Streets (more PSWED)

The speakeasy variety show Friday and Saturday nights was really fantastic. It was lovely to be part of a show that people put so much work into putting on. There were singers and jazz bands, and some independent films, and a running mob/prohibition-themed story with the MC & hosts. That's a very good outlook to take - indeed, it's not a challenge if there's no risk of failure involved. But every day you win, you win something you wouldn't have without setting the challenge in the first place.

Wish I knew SF better for suggesting actually weird places to play. Guess I'm just going to have to come and visit the city again someday :-)

BTW, the answer for the Christian god is, yes.

The challenge thing is the same way I'm a vegetarian, which, for me, means I recognize the benefit and keep trying, though I still eat meat.

I've managed to stay way outta the loop lately, but I live down the hall from the Speakeasy (#29), and heard great things about the chica with the cello... suspected it was you. I didn't make it Friday but Saturday I caught several great acts. I'll pay closer attention next time!
