Summary - Gackt and You are more than friends, closer than brothers and have a relationship that is hard to define. During the YFC tour, that relationship changes forever. Will it make them or break them?
Series notes;
1) this has already been completed and fully beta read. Yes, all 15 parts. So, you don’t have to worry about reading a half finished story that never gets finished and it will all be posted pretty rapidly.
2) it’s set around last year’s YFC tour and follows the tour through Japan and Europe. Some of the incidents happened (note - it was all written before the release of the YFC Europe Documentary DVD) but I’m sure they didn’t happen like this! This is merely fiction, after all!
3) huge thanks to write_my_dreams for being my beta. I don’t think she realised what she was taking on!
“Tonight is the first night of our YFC tour!”
“Osu!”
“Twenty-four shows in six cities!”
“Osu!”
“In front of an audience of both men and women!”

"Gaku, this ‘osu’ thing is going to get very old, very quickly.”
The next line of Gackt’s well planned pep talk died on his tongue at the sound of the voice cutting in. He turned to his right, his vision partly obscured by the loose silky strands of his hair, but he didn’t need perfect vision to recognise the person who stood there. You, his best friend, guitarist and voice of reason for the last eighteen years was smiling at him, his eyes sparkling with mirth and happiness at being able to stop the usually unstoppable Gackt motivational machine.
“The fans are doing it, so we’re doing it too. It’s only fair so shut up, suck it up and yell ‘osu’!”
“Osu!” You shouted, his right arm dropping from his position around Chacha's neck in order to punch the air with over exaggerated force while his left, which had been lazily decorating Gackt’s shoulders in a loose embrace, tightened slightly and pulled the singer off balance.
Gackt quickly righted himself and carried on. “The last time we stood here, waiting to play a concert that wasn’t male or fan club only was in Saitama at the final of the RRII tour. We were exhausted. We were tired of each other. The RRII tour, all seven months and sixty shows of it, had taken its toll on us as people and as a family, but this tour will be different. Like Camui Gakuen, we’re here to have fun, to send the fans home with smiles on their faces and to give them our all.”
“Osu!”
"So, let’s attack each night with our full force and energy. Let’s show the crowds our spirit and not worry about routines or storytelling. Let’s give them a live experience they will never forget. This isn’t VISUALIVE, this is raw aggression. This is us, this is YFC, this is our full fierce power and I hope the Dears are ready!”
“Osu!”
“What time is it?”
Gackt looked around the group of people that surrounded him, from his band members to the crew, to the security team and saw the same determined look on every face. This group of people were his family, his blood, and they would follow him into hell if he wanted to lead them there. He caught You's eyes, the natural deep brown made all the more penetrating due to the heavy eye makeup he wore and smiled.
This would be a good tour. Gackt could feel it.
“It’s… SHOWTIME!”
