You stared at the unfamiliar stretch of road that they were currently driving down. “We’re lost.”
Gackt’s hand tightened on the steering wheel of their rental car. “No, we aren’t.”
“Yes, we are.”
“No, I know exactly where we are,” Gackt snapped.
“Then why can’t we find the hotel?” You asked.
“I don’t know where the hotel is.”
You sighed. “So we are lost.”
“No,” Gackt denied. “As I said, I know exactly where we are, I just don’t know where the hotel is from our current position.”
“Why not? If you know where we are, it should be simple.”
“I think it’s moved.”
“Gakkun, buildings don’t just move.”
“This one has.”
You sighed again. “Why don’t we just stop the car and ask someone where we are?”
“I told you - I know where we are! I just don’t know…”
“…where the hotel is, yeah, yeah,” You interrupted.
Chacha opened his eyes. He’d been resting in the backseat but the ensuing argument between his two band mates in the front had woken him up. “Have you finished arguing yet?”
“We’re not arguing,” Gackt said, as if the very suggestion that he and You had been arguing was the most stupid thought in the world.
“We’re not arguing,” You agreed, “we’re just discussion Gakkun’s lack of direction.”
“What? I know exactly where we are!,” Gackt exclaimed. “Besides, you’re riding shotgun, you should be navigating.”
“Hey, I’m man enough to admit that I have no idea where we are.”
Chacha interrupted again. “Guys, you’re arguing again.”
“Does it matter?,” Gackt snapped.
“Yes. Because if you were paying attention to the road instead of arguing, you’d have realised that we passed the hotel ten minutes ago.”
You and Gackt shared a quick but murderous look and both turned to the guitarist sat in the back seat. “Go back to sleep.”
