Fic ideas
A multi-chapter fic idea has been rolling around in my head, so I thought I'd put it here for safekeeping/feedback.
Takes place 3 years after ME3 (Destroy ending, Shepard lives). I guess one could call this an AU, because the damage to the world in my fic will be more severe than as portrayed in the game.
Modern technology has virtually been irradiated, but slowly being rebuilt. Most communication relays have been down, so communication between even one planet is difficult, so communication from planet to planet, ship to ship, etc, is very limited, near to impossible. News of Shepard being alive has barely spread. (Shepard was found in London). Since so many ships and resources were destroyed in the war, space-travel has also been dampened. The Mass Relays still haven't been repaired completely.
Shepard is rescued by an Alliance outpost in London two days after the Reapers were destroyed, alive but severely injured. (Honestly, I'm amazed she survived as is, I assume it was her biotic implants from Cerberus that saved her).
All squadmates from ME3 are alive except the ones who died in-game (Mordin, EDI, Legion, Thane, Kaiden).
Liara is still working as the Shadow Broker, but since communication is so difficult, finding information and sources has been limited. She works on Ilium. Currently, most of her work as the Shadow Broker is providing resources to the Asari on Ilium itself. She believes Shepard is dead, but hasn't found another partner since.
Basically, the story itself will be about the aftermath of ME3 but will mostly focus on my Shepard and Liara. Lots of angst and drama. Not sure about the conflict yet. No idea what to call it.
