Summary - Gackt says hello to U:zo
“Helloooooooo U:zo!”
U:zo paused in his tracks at the over enthusiastic greeting from Gackt. He could tell from the slight stagger in Gackt’s usually model-esque walk that the singer was already drunk, despite the party only officially beginning half an hour ago.
Gackt bounded over to him and any doubts U:zo had of Gackt’s drunkenness were dispelled when Gackt grabbed his face firmly between his two hands and kissed him, straight on the lips.
By the time U:zo had realised what had happened, Gackt had already ran away to find his next victim.
“Did he just kiss me?” U:zo wondered out loud.
“Yeah,” said Chacha. He’d been watching the scene from a few feet away. “In drunken Gackt language, that means hello.”
U:zo was still in a state of shock. “He kissed me.”
“You’ll get used to it,” Chacha said casually, sipping his drink. “Gackt likes to say hello all the time when he’s drunk.”
“He kissed me,” U:zo repeated, his eyes still struggling to focus.
Chacha laughed. “If a simple hello confuses you this much then try not to be around when he says goodbye…”

Summary - Gackt explains his calendar
“Gaku,” Chacha said sweetly, “what day is it today?”
Gackt paused for a few moments and thought deeply. “Tuesday? No, it’s Wednesday, isn’t it?”
Chacha laughed. “It’s Sunday.”
“Ah,” Gackt smiled sheepishly, “close enough.”
“One day you will know what day of the week it is.”
“I don’t need to know what day of the week it is,” Gackt replied. “I live by the Gackt Calendar.”
Chacha rolled his eyes but asked the question anyway. “And what, pray tell, is the Gackt Calendar?”
“There aren’t any Sundays or Tuesdays or any of your days anymore,” Gackt explained. “Every day is called Gacktday.”
“Of course it is,” Chacha laughed. “Do you have clocks in the Gackt Calendar to tell the time?”
Gackt laughed too. “No, we eliminated that method fifteen Gackt-years ago. We have a simpler system now. It’s whatever time I say it is.”
“No offence, but I think I’ll stick to the calendar and time keeping of normal people.”
“Your loss,” Gackt grinned.

Summary - Jon expected something different
“When I agreed to join this rock band with a mega famous and ultra rich singer as the focus,” Jon said, staring at Gackt, “I expected it to be more rock and roll.”
“Rock and roll how?” Gackt asked.
“More naked chicks, more excess, maybe some drugs in the wider circle of crew and hangers on,” Jon explained. “I didn’t expect a Japanese version of Motley Crue, but maybe a little bit of illegal and immoral activity here and there instead of hours of training everyday.”
Gackt stared at Jon. “That’s old school. We’re new school.”
“No,” Jon disagreed, “you’re boring.”

Summary - Gackt is everyone's older brother
“You’re really taking this role as senpai to all the younger Jrockers seriously, aren’t you?” You asked.
Gackt had just finished a phone call to another guitarist that he’d managed to enlist for a TV performance. You had lost count of the number of random musicians Gackt had worked with over the last few years or how many now referred to Gackt as their elder brother. It was cute, You thought, and showed a caring and selfless side of Gackt that previously the singer had always tried to hide from public view.
“I want to help in anyway that I can,” Gackt replied.
“Why?” You asked. “I think it’s great that you do help so many people and are so free with your advice, but technically they’re all rivals. So why do you do it?”
“Because,” Gackt sighed, “I remember when I first joined Malice Mizer. I remember when I first became solo. I remember all of the older and more established artists that tried to kick me back down and make me fail. It was petty and spiteful. I swore back then, that if I was ever in their position, that I wouldn’t act the same way.”
You smiled. “I’m sure they all appreciate it, Aniki.”

Summary - You is calling friends
“What are you doing?” Gackt asked as he watched You put down the phone and cross another name off the list in front of him.
“Calling people,” You replied.
Gackt rolled his eyes. “I can see that. But why are you calling people and who are you calling?”
“I’m calling everyone who attended your party last night,” You answered. “To check that they’re still alive and not in an alcohol induced coma.”
“If you find anyone who is in a coma, let me know.”
You smiled. “Are you going to visit them in hospital and apologise with a bouquet of flowers?”
“No,” Gackt scoffed. “I’ll make sure never to invite them again. Lightweights.”
