Not that it helps any, but he was probably in India or China and only has marginal English ability. I think they give them stock phrases and answers and they have trouble when you don't follow the script.
I think they have stock answers on a pull-down menu.
The last time I had to contact an UnHelp Desk, I ended up demanding a phone number--not that that improved things much. Then the guy was apparently READING the stock phrases/script.
Symantec doesn't seem to train its tech people any better than a lot of other companies. Combine lack of knowledge with lack of English language skills and the results aren't pretty.
NAV is a program that doesn't like to uninstall in general. Even when it appears to uninstall, there are often a lot of pieces left behind.
