Well i've decided to show a new movie based on a suggestion by one of our newest members. As some of you know, there hasn't been a really big turn out when I run dvd's. So, this Saturday night i'm running Assault on Precinct 13. It came out on Wednesday and is actually based on crimes in Detroit so I thought it would be interesting. I'm hopin ( Read more... )

My job now working for Federal Mogul is probably my favorite. My time at Mammoth Video a close second.

Worst would have to be working at Best Buy. It probably wouldnt have been so bad if you didnt have to push stupid shit on people when it is junk you are pushing, they dont want it, and most of them cant afford it, but you have to do it anyway. I care more about people than to try to hurt them to benefit me or the store. If that makes me bad in business, then I dont want to be good.

The hours were terrible too, I was getting about 5-6 hours a week. What a joke.

AMC wasnt bad or good really, it had its ups and downs, the customers usually sucked, but the hours were pretty good, and the people I worked with rocked. I had the BEST manager ever when I worked at the 10. :p

I have had 5 jobs. Ouch.

Farmer Jack, AMC, Mammoth, Best Buy, Federal Mogul

$6.00, $6.75, $7.25, $8.50, $12.00

Maybe I should go for 6, I like the trend. :)

i'm gonna mix up the questions a bit..

i've only had two jobs: cvs and being a lab proctor at school.

cvs was fun because i liked the people i worked with and charlie our manager was the coolest. then bob came and things went downhill. i started out as a cashier/stock person and then moved to photo. i liked being on stock cuz you didnt have to deal with customers as much (yay cos wall!). then came cashier, cuz all you had to do was stand there and ring people up. in third place is photo. having to run the machine and get pictures made and ring people up and help stupid people with the kodak picture maker was the worst. way too much stress.

now as a lab proctor, i get to sit at a computer and do my homework or basically whatever i want (in fact i'm at work right now). it's not so much fun as it is easy. i don't hate the job either. i'm neutral about it. i get to make friends with some of the other proctors and laugh at stupid people who ask if there are computer labs around. yes, someone actually asked me that.

1. favorite job is the one i have right now. i love being a teller cuz the pay and hours are great. the people i work with are nice but some of the members (cant call them "customers") are still kinda stupid but i dont get as many of those as i used to.

2. my least favorite job was working as a cashier at Chicken Shack, my first job. i didnt like a lot of the people i worked w/ except my dad and this other girl i worked with. plus i was supposed to get a raise after 6 months but that didnt happen until i had been working there for over 8 months. IHOP is a close second. the only thing i liked about that job was the people i worked with occasionally. other than that my bosses sucked, the customers sucked, and the pay sucked. in the 2+ years i worked there, i went thru about 4 different bosses and only one of them was cool.

3. 3

1. Favorite job has to be managing the cafe's at the Chyrsler Sterling Heights Assembly plant. I hate Chrysler and all the junk they make, but I was my own boss and my workers were pretty cool to work with.

2. Worse. I pretty much liked them all. There are bad things about every job, so I'll pick by the largest injustice. Variety FoodServices. I was systems admin, webmaster (after the shitty site was created by a half ass company), data entry clerk, computer tech, and office bitch all for under ten dollars an hour. Yeah, I'm still a little sore about that.

3. How many jobs? Legit of non-legit? I'll give the total of both. Nine jobs in the ten years I've been working. I quit a lot to move to a better paying job. Not always more an hour, but more net in the pay cheque.
