One of the pirates--probably a central figure, Cirrus, or Dread, or maybe the captain--should have a really great, mysterious scar. The character would always refuse to admit how he got it.

Then, near the very end, we'd finally find out that it was from a baking accident, or from a farming mishap, or some other incredibly lame reason for a scar
