Eric looked up as he lost his pencil, flashing an apologetic grin. "I know, I know. You're not even close to the first person to point that out." He reached half-heartedly for the pencil as he added, "I'll read faster."

Eric arched an eyebrow, giving him a doubtful look. "If I take a break, I have a feeling I won't get back to studying any time soon," he observed with a faint smirk, giving a little shake of his head as he looked back to the book. "I need to finish this chapter, at least."
