I apologise for my lack of communication, but my mother is ill. She has bronchitis, and I've been at home trying to persuade her to visit the doctor. Finally she's gone, but it's a rather bad case and therefore if you need me I'll not be at the flat, but with my mother ( Read more... )

Oh, Dean, your poor Mum!

I'll be round, yeah? Is there anything your Mum would like?

Foods she cannot eat? My mum wants to bake her something, oh, and she just said she'd like to come along. Would that be all right?

That's fine, thank you Ginny - Mum loves having company, she and your Mum will talk our ears off I expect. She's not allergic to anything, loves cakes, and is really looking forward to your visit.

Thank you.

Bored but in a good way. Glad to hear your Mum is feeling better. How are you holding up?

I'm fine, perhaps a little tired but that's to be expected. We should go nad have a drink somewhere away from crowds sometime.

As well as can be expected, really. Frightfully busy lately, what with all the dinners out. I'll have probably eaten at every restaurant in London by year's end, in which case I could write my own book and probably make a fortune.

I'm sorry to hear your mum is poorly. Hopefully it's not too serious and she'll come around soon. At least she's gone to the doctor. You couldn't persuade my mother to go to the doctor if she was dying.

Is there anything I could do? You must have your hands full.

It's not serious now, she has got a lot better, thanks Colin. If you brought over a bottle of wine, she said she'd make you some of her hippocras.

Glad to hear she's on the mend! And consider it done. I don't want to put her to any trouble though, as good as that stuff is. But a visit would be nice. How about tomorrow afternoon?

Brilliant with me - you won't mind sitting for me, will you? I'm bored with drawing my family now.
