i just listened to some ragtime
musical theatre makes my heart ache
it hurts so good
i can never get enough of that prologue

shut up.

i love the prologue. haha.

but today i was singing wheels of a dream. i only listen to like 5 songs in that show because the rest of it makes me heart ache too. but ache like an attack not in a good way.

haha yea i think i have only even heard 4 songs from that show. i always find the ones i like and listen to them 9000 times.

"Gazebos" and "negroes" don't rhyme. Actually, I think a lot of that prologue suffers from poor lyrics. Like "An era exploding/a century spinning" - what does that even mean? Seriously, it's like she couldn't come up with an image that made sense, so she just threw in "spinning" cause it rhymes with "beginning."

Of course, I have many problems with Ragtime, all of which I will be happy to discuss with you the next time I call you. :)

Oh, and PS. my friends and I were just discussing how musical theatre creates a special kind of rapture that you can't find anywhere else. We're lucky people, those of us who know this and can find this rapture whenever we want.
