Coming back to the U.S. of A, the election, the holidays.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Dear Miami - Róisín Murphy. The lyrics are total nonsense, but the lines: "Dear Miami/You're the first to go/Disappearing/Under melting snow/Each and every one/Turn your critical eye/On the burning sun/and try not to cry" seemed to encapsulate the sense of siege I got from this world, whether it's an environment under siege from human development, the economy under siege from .. well, no one really knows, or my own assumptions about myself under siege from other stuff.

I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine fine fine"
