[It's during one of those occasions Goroh is dealing with the battle... by means of a slow smoke. He happens to notice Lyndis's grave, but it's not until he's behind her he sees the words.]

[She turns her head to him as soon as she speaks, but it takes a long while for her to answer.]

... Them too, I suppose. There aren't any enemies or allies in death, and by the time they revive they won't be threatening us any more.

[Well, he ain't going nowhere.]

For now. Brutal folk like that, they ain't gonna give up on wiping us out on account of dying. They'll be back for another round.

I suppose that's true. Still, I'll keep my answer. I won't speak ill of the dead, even if the death is going to be undone.

[With things quieting down, this guy will be outside for a bit. He watches Lyndis from a distance before he decides to approach, though he didn't need to be close to know what she was trying to do.]

That's very thoughtful of you.

[She lifts her head as he approaches and gives a weak little smile.]

Ah, it's just something we would have done back home in the same circumstances. I know they're going to come back, but even so, I felt like it ought to be done.

[He nods.]

We did this, too. [Or, rather. Those in the castle did. Not so much him.] It's only appropriate, even if we'll see them again.

[Vash comes wandering by at some point and catches you out of the corner of his eye. He won't say anything, but he will approach, quietly and kneel down next to you and place his hands together, bowing his head slightly.]

[Lyn budges over for him a bit as he kneels down next to her, just letting him mourn as he likes.]

[Vash doesn't have a way that he favors more than another. He just does whatever he feels is right at the time.] Did you make this? I'm sure they appreciate it.

[She nods in answer to his question.] I thought it appropriate.

[With nothing else to do, Jay wanders over to the lone fighter. The grave-shaped plaque catches his eye, as do the words carved into it.]

For all who have fallen? How many casualties have we suffered?

[She lifts her head to the young-looking man and then turns back to her makeshift grave, frowning.]

To be honest, I really don't know. I've heard only of one and that could be the only loss, but... I very much doubt it with enemies like this.

You're feeling sympathy for the enemies, too?

[That's just not right in his opinion...]

There are no enemies or allies in death. There are only the fallen.
