Yesterday, in attempt to fill that void I mentioned earlier, I decided to call an old friend of mine. She lives rather far away, and we don't chat nearly as much as we should. I was also under the impression that she was working under a different time zone, and I wanted to figure out the time difference

And on the same subject... Mole has had it made very, very clear to him that he won't get me back unless there are some extremely major changes in his thinking, though I am very happy to be his friend and to give him as much support as he needs. Last night he called me "love", which took me aback, since he doesn't call anyone that unless he means something by it.

I am going to sit here and wait for him to work out what he thinks he's doing, and then what he needs to change in order to do it. Men shouldn't be given too much help. They need to learn to work things out for themselves, especially the bright ones. :-)

:) It appears that I might also get *me* trained. I'm not calling him tonight, and I turned off my internet answering machine so I can't get any of his calls. The really funny thing is, I don't even feel compelled to talk to him tonight.

That's very sweet about Mole, and it's also great that you've set some boundaries there. Intelligent men do need to figure things out for themselves, it's true- and we intelligent women need to preserve our own sanity while this process takes place.
