Mardi Gras 2008

I took a couple of pictures of my cassowary costume before we left the house on Mardi Gras day. Being the world's deadliest bird was awesome fun. We decided there should be a krewe of flightless birds next year so that Dave has an excuse to finally get a penguin costume too.

Wow... you totally pulled it off. I remember you posting about making a cassowary costume months ago, and thought it was a cool idea then. And you made it happen beautifully. Deadly!

I got some clay that I was going to use to make talons to attach to my boots, but I ran out of time. Next time this costume makes an appearance there will be talons though!

Mardi Gras 2008 = endless party in the Dervish lady's room. Much debauchery was had. I'm not sure exactly all of what I ingested or who all I touched or made out with. I think I remember most of it though.

Dude, that sounds... kind of gnarly. I think it's the idea of ingesting anything in the Dervish lady's room though. Esp. after the last time I saw it.

We broke the bathroom sink! Which was apparently fixed by the next night! And by we, I mean, someone who happened to be in the ladies room all night... not me, but I'm not telling who!

Dave is sad I forgot to get a picture of his costume. We totally meant to get a picture together and it never happened. There's a lot of things I wish I'd gotten pictures of though!
