God, this breaks my heart. She seems like SUCH a sweet girl. I'm baffled that she looks so young & no one wants to adopt her.

It sounds like the LASPCA is overwhelmed with dogs right now, so there's probably just so many more dogs than people looking to adopt. Also, $200 is a lot of money for most people right now too... It's actually a very small chunk of the heartworm treatment too... They were saying for a dog her size the heartworm treatment will actually cost about $700-800, but they have vets that pay part of the cost to do it and the LASPCA pays most of the rest.
