seeing as how i have struggled to release my emotions through my fingertips these past weeks...i turned to all_unwritten for a prompt...

i'll never leave you;
she said with contempt
and menace in her eyes...
and he believed her.

with his soul
and his loins
and his tightening throat,
he believed her.
fight these tears;
don't let her see...

This is a very good blink-and-you'll-miss-it poem, by which I mean it's fuid and teasing. The intrigue of the tone smoulders before disappearing, causing the reader to want to know more. I love that. Especially how the ending is open for interpretation. Great stuff.
