The theme for June at work is "Welcome to the Jungle", and next week's specific theme is "Jungle Animals," so I've been searching online for a couple of days for outlines or drawings of different animals that I can enlarge and copy and have my babies paint for art projects. I've got monkeys, parrots, toucans, and this morning, I searched for lions

One of my kids mounted another student today. It looked kinda like this. Hmmm... I think I need a new carreer choice, what do you think :)

Your center gives you themes?????
UUUUuUUUghghhhh. I've heard stories about places that do that but I've never actually known of a specific center that does.

They used to let us pick our own themes for our rooms/lesson plans (yep, I have to make lesson plans for my infants...let me tell you how often we actually follow them...), but management (in their not-so-infinite wisdom) had decided that they want us all to be the same! They made us come up with ideas for June, July, and August as a test run, and then they chose the overall theme for the month and then little tie-in themes for each week of the month. It actually worked out well for us, because the monthly themes they chose were the ones we wanted anyway. :)
