The theme for June at work is "Welcome to the Jungle", and next week's specific theme is "Jungle Animals," so I've been searching online for a couple of days for outlines or drawings of different animals that I can enlarge and copy and have my babies paint for art projects. One of my kids mounted another student today. It looked kinda like this. Hmmm... I think I need a new carreer choice, what do you think :)

I don't think my babies would so much care, but the older kids might start to question it.

Your center gives you themes?????
UUUUuUUUghghhhh. I've heard stories about places that do that but I've never actually known of a specific center that does.

They used to let us pick our own themes for our rooms/lesson plans (yep, I have to make lesson plans for my infants...let me tell you how often we actually follow them...), but management (in their not-so-infinite wisdom) had decided that they want us all to be the same! They made us come up with ideas for June, July, and August as a test run, and then they chose the overall theme for the month and then little tie-in themes for each week of the month. It actually worked out well for us, because the monthly themes they chose were the ones we wanted anyway. :)
