M had a doctor's appointment this morning. It went pretty well, though he did end up getting prescribed a body brace. Think of a shell around his torso and you get the general idea. It's for when he gets tired, and it will help support his torso. It's important, though, that he still use and excersize his core muscles, so the brace will only be for ( Read more... )

Interesting. Biochem is fascinating.

Does the Albuterol tend to make him hyper? We've a friend whose son has asthma and takes it and the effects are noticeable although they're very glad he's on it. It's amazing that one drug can do so much.

He's only ever used an inhale once before, and we didn't notice any hyperness. We did notice tremor in his hands though. Apparently that and a fast heartbeat are pretty common but tend to taper off after a few weeks. I'll keep you informed once we actually start the oral Albuterol...
