Beer Fail.

So i've decided to watch Top Chef this season.  It's on wednesday, after trivia night at the local public house.  This allows for a good sobering up, from the usual second place finish (drat), as i teach at 8 am.  However Top Chef appears to be sponsored by MGD 64 with the slogan:

"As light as it gets"

Now i have not yet fully developed my beer ( Read more... )

It probably would make a good General Chat thread if the boards ever come back...

We haven't had a beer thread on the board in a while. There have been a couple in Gen Chat. Lately there's the "What are you drinking?", though that covers all sort of things. Last beer thread I know of was started by EHK.

This reminds me I also still don't have a beer icon for LJ.

"As light as it gets"? Bleah. Give me Harvey's A. Le Coq. As dark as it gets! The beer ad that makes me laugh (because if I reacted seriously I would want to hurl things at the TV) is the Miller Lite "Triple Hops" commercial. They mean to imply that they add hops three times during the brewing process to improve the flavor. I suspect they're not telling us that those three times occur in the space of seconds and they're adding a single hop flower each time.

hahaha. light beer -- heinous.
I know people who actually like that swill. Maybe not MGD Lite, but other beers like it, because some people don't like flavor, no joke. Look at the people who eat the most bland and boring foods -- to them, flavor is the enemy.

You could always post about your adventures in cuisine... ;-)

Ugg, yuck!

I don't have the most refined beer palate compared to a lot of our BWB friends. But compared to the people I know "IRL" I am a total beer snob.

I tend to watch Iron Chef America, myself. Or, rather, it would be more accurate to say that I listen to it in the background when it is on.

When you say football, do you mean the American version?

If yes, do you follow your college, college level, or NFL?

If you mean soccer, who do you follow?

Since all but the NFL seasons have started, I'm assuming he's referring to the NFL.

I am in fact referring to the NFL. Football is really the only sport i've ever played personally and Rhode Island really isn't into any college level teams.
