Necklace Auction Round One: Winter

Nov 12, 2007 07:16

Well, it seems gift-giving season is upon us once again. And what better gift to give than a handmade one? Especially a handmade gift where 100% of the proceeds go to suicide prevention and research?

As some of you may remember, I made thirteen necklaces (based on the 12 seasons, with one extra because I had some time left over) as part of Blogathon 2007 back in July. Thanks to writing deadlines, work and other RL stuff, it's taken me a little while to get around to auctioning them off for The American Association of Suicidology, the charity for which weyrdchic and I blogged for 24 straight hours. But they're here now, and ready to move from my cold, lonely bead box to your warm, loving homes.

How it works:

There will be four posts with three necklaces each. When bidding, leave a comment with the name of the necklace you want in your post and the amount you bid in the comment's body (e.g.: JANUARY $25). Bidding for all necklaces starts at $20. Also include your email address in the comment so I know how to contact you if you win. If you want to make sure you aren't outbid, feel free to track comments for this post.

When the auction closes, I will email the winning bidder with instructions how to claim your necklace (basically it's as easy as donating the money to the AAS and sending me the receipt).

I have also enabled anonymous comments, for bidders who don't have LJs. I normally hate doing this, so please, please, please use this responsibly, Internet.

I will auction each set of necklaces for 2 weeks. If I don't get any bids for the necklaces, they'll roll over for another two week period until I do.

So that's the fine print. Now onto the goodies! Photography as always is by the very talented bulletslc. Thanks, hun :D!

January
