UK people, are you OK?

Hey all: If you're in the UK right now and you've got a second, I'd really like to hear if you're OK.

I'm currently on a train home that is passing through Peckham, and I can see some fires through the window, but the station's closed and I'm about to get home all right (the walk from the next station to my house is 5min through residential streets).

Relieved to hear about the homne all right bit, not so much to know you're travelling through those areas. I hope it sorts soon!

Home safe and in bed, no trouble getting here at all.

I hope you continue to be OK - it's easy to forget how _frightening_ this must be for the people caught as bystanders.

I'm in a tiny village in Devon surrounded by moors and sheep. *hugs* But I'm glued to the live feeds coming out of London. I have dear friends in Croydon and am so worried about them -- they said they've been getting calls from their friends in Beirut checking up on them.

Small world. I used to live in a tiny village in Devon surrounded by moors and sheep.

I'm in a sleepy village far from rioters, and it breaks my heart to watch.

Although the hashtag on twitter is UK riots, So far there has been little trouble outside of major conurbations in England. I heard that one ned tried kicking off something in Glasgow and was immediately apprehended. Here in Edinburgh everyone's too busy with the Festival, I think. Anyone trying to start anything would probably be mistaken for street theatre.

I have friends in all the places where it is kicking off, though, and am keeping track.
