I have many friends who have been unable to breastfeed (for many reasons - from medical through to lack of support) and none of them would have found such a photo offensive.
The twisted minds go to show why their stat's are so low!

You know, it's funny though. I'm seen as something of a goody goody. I rarely curse. I'm something of a Pollyanna, even. YET, it is others who find that kind of thing obscene. To me it's really beautiful. A little kid playing mommy!

People have filthy minds.

You are lovely!

People are shallow, and obsene themselves.

It's more a reflection on themselves, not the simple innocent beauty of images such as a little person playing Mummy.

only 35 per cent of UK babies are being exclusively breastfed at one week

This is SO SAD.

and 3% at 5 months! Appalling!! No wonder they have such poor breastfeeding rates when they have such terrible attitudes to breastfeeding.
Our stats at 6 months read like this ....

In the past four years the rates for babies which are reported as being fully breastfed at six months old are :

* 19 - 21 percent of European and other babies
* 17 - 18 percent for Pacific babies
* 13 - 14 percent for Maori babies
