LOST: Sundown
It's Tuesday... that means LOST TIIIIIME.
TONIGHT'S EPISODE WAS SUNDOWN.
PREPARE FOR SPOILERS.
Okay. So. I am going to attempt to talk about tonight's episode, but I may be a little too distracted by the preview for next week's to do this right.
BUT, UH, HERE WE GO.
SAYID. I knew this was going to be a crazy episode as soon as he walked in and the kids in Nadia's house called him "Uncle." I was going "WHAAAAAAT," as were my dad and brother (who, despite their annoyance about my comments about LOST regarding certain characters agreed to watch this episode with me since I'm home on break).
His brother and Nadia, oh gosh. A-and it seems like he's visited before?! A lot before?! I do not even know. ;A;
And then Sayid in the regular time-line. OH, SAYID. He and Dogen fighting was crazy stuff, and then FLOCKE. OKAY. LET'S STAB HIM, HE WON'T EVEN CARE. LIKE. WHAT.
I'm not sure whether Dogen KNEW that it wasn't going to work, or that he LITERALLY meant "it's too late if he talks."
I mean. They just got done saying that he couldn't kill Sayid... right? Well, they said he couldn't kill "Reyes" or "Shephard," but then is Sayid still considered a candidate? Yes? No? His name hasn't been crossed out anywhere, but I expect MIB is busing recruiting and such and Jacob is busy being... well. Dead. I suppose he still is, right? :/
KATE AND CLAIRE. KATE. YOU ARE AN IDIOT SOMETIMES. Okay, okay, I am not the biggest Kate fan. I don't hate her as much as some people, but I don't particularly like her. She's just kind of there, and sometimes I am happy with her and sometimes I am annoyed with her. BUT SRSLY. KATE. IF THE LOOK ON CLAIRE'S FACE AS YOU WERE TALKING TO HER DID NOT SET OFF A TINY, TINY FLAG IN YOUR HEAD THERE IS A PROBLEM. I mean, it was dark I guess. But she just used ALL the wrong word choices! "I raised him..." Oh, man.
And yet, she didn't kill her... YET. I'm wondering if she's waiting until the right time? If she thinks she needs Kate to find Aaron, since she seemed a teensy bit doubtful about FLocke in the beginning? I'm sure she's going to try, though.
A-AND KEAMY. FUCK YEAH, IT WAS GOOD SEEING HIM KILLED AGAIN.
Honestly. Soon as I saw him I was like "KEAMY. OH MAN SAYID SHOOT HIM."
And he did.
And it was sad, since Sayid is always killing people, but... I'm allowed to be selfish and want him to kill ONE person, aren't I?
ALSO LOL AT JACK!CAMEO AT THE HOSPITAL
AND JIN. JINJINJINJIN. I had not idea who it was going to be, but JIN. Wonder if Sun's left him yet? :(
Speaking of Sun and Jin, I really just want them to meet up. It's been so long. :(
Also, it's strange that in Sayid's other life (or whatever you want to call it) he doesn't really get any closure. Everyone else seemed to get a LITTLE something, so far (Kate "meeting a friend" and getting her credit card, I guess; Claire naming her baby and getting a bit of peace on the whole thing; Locke getting a new job and still being with Helen and all that jazz; Jack making up with his son a bit) but Sayid got NOTHING. Except killing the people messing with his brother. And like. Not being able to be with Nadia.
He is so different in the Island timeline now, calling himself a "good person" a-and killing more people a-and saying there's no time left for him (GOD THAT WAS CREEPY I DON'T BLAME BEN)

DOGEN! DOGENDOGENDOGENDOGENDOGEN.

Just as I was starting to like him! And we get the story behind the baseball and how he came to the island. His son. :( :(

THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF THAT EPISODE WERE AMAZING BY THE WAY.
EVIL!BADASS!SAYID (SRSLY, as someone on the LOST community put it, you know someone is evil when Ben backs away from them slowly), ILANA, FRANK, SUN AND BEN SHOWING UP, CRAZY SMOKE ATTACK, FLOCKE BEING... HIMSELF. IDK. IT WAS AWESOME.
The creepy use of "Catch a Falling Star" has caused me to never be able to hear that song again without envisioning crazy!Claire and the temple's like, destruction. ;A;
Although I thought Ben died since he didn't go through with them (I AM TIRED AND IRRATIONAL). And my brother (my dad had gone to bed by then) had to deal with me going "OH GOD WHERE IS HE." And then I relaxed as I saw him in next week's preview. And then proceeded to die again when I heard what they said.
HE CANNOT DIE NEXT EPISODE HE CANNOT HE CANNOT HE AT LEAST NEEDS TO LAST UNTIL THE FINALE BECAUSE DAMMIT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE A PROPER LOST SERIES FINALE WITHOUT HIM AND JUST. WTF.
