But I do love that the show is acknowledging Elena's depression and suicidal thoughts. AND they seem to be laying an actual foundational arc to deal with that?! And I like that the show is acknowledging that Elena cannot be like Stefan OR Damon, that she must figure out how to be her version; not that she can't have help.
I think it's a filler episode but I kinda hate that show AGAIN went and made Elena feel like having fun is wrong and that she will be punished for it. Man, I would be suicidal too if every time I'm on the verge of having some fun someone comes and judges me for it....
I watch it with some perverse pleasure tbh, because it's just so true to what's going on in the real world. Many women work like that. I just hope the show does something interesting with it, deconstructs the hell out of it.

Well, I mean you have some right to complain because the show has gone down the pan, but... you know what I mean ;P

Yay for Elena realizing she has to be her own vampire. Too bad she doesn't really want to be one at all.

Here's to hoping Elena will find a way to be her own vampire :).
