Yikes, I don't think I've even had that experience with the computer.

Glad to hear your water heater adventure has drawn to a close. When mine decided to rust out a couple years ago, instead of the water draining into the floor drain a couple feet away, it went the other direction - under the finished part of the basement, which is also carpeted. Took a week of airing it out with a fan and then a steam cleaning to remedy the smell and rust stains.

Oh yuck... I can't imagine how much worse this would be if the "carpet" in there was actual nice carpet with pad. (I put it in quotes b/c what it has right now is semi indoor/outdoor stuff laid directly on a concrete floor.)
