I think the random BBQ that you attended is a pretty amazing thing to do in a foreign country. It really sounds like you've soaked up as much American culture as you possibly can...!
And what did you think of Austin overall? My flatmate just returned from there and she said it was basically the best city (at least American city) she's ever visited. xoxo
i've been wanting to comment forever & keep forgetting. i have so much enjoyed all of the posts about your trip. you've done such an incredible job of documenting your experiences with words & photographs. thank you for sharing all of it. it's so wonderful. <3
yeah i like keeping a documentation of my travels. i do wish though that i still kept paper journals. i used to and i try to but its just a book with one entry in. lj is easier. but then it feels like its just out there in cyberspace rather than something you can own or share one day.
