fuck our government! Fuck the war. Hey, we are in a fucking war. Why doesn't this affect us more, how can we have the nerve to decend on another country bomb da shit outta them, sometimes unfortunately hit civilians http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/ ( Read more... )

did you move to ptbo? i just read some of your old journal entries and you mentioned something about your dad helping you move. oh my god!! i'm back from my field season and i'll be leaving again sometime in june. we should get together! what have you been doing since exams? what's that about the summer courses? are you really taking up french? i wanted to do that as well....but oh well

I agree. War destroys life, and ultimately, no matter who dies where, we are affected, but we've been taught to ignore the pain caused by the death of another. We have lost a part of ourselves, a part of what makes us feel, and so we no longer care unless it's so in our faces we can't ignore it. Unfortunately, a war half a world away is still below gas prices in media priorities, and they still refuse to acknowledge that unfathomable prices for a very limited natural resource (which we are nowhere near an approproate cost, yet) because it's so much closer to what we have decided is "home."

I have to head up to school today to finish some essays. First due date for my incompletes, and boy are they sexy sexy essays, labour rights and all...

i wish. I'm fucking pissed. I think the political disconnect i've been having since my essays took over my life is catchy up with me. and yes, i've started waking up early... even before my alarm on some days... creepy huh?
