Losing Someone Special

 My Auntie Mary Plagenza, a lifelong resident of East Boston, MA, passed away today at the age of 91.

The world has lost a funny, sweet, wonderful human being. My grandma has lost a sister and a friend.

Thank you for sharing your memories and your grief. Mary sounds like a wonderful lady who had a good life with the joy of knowing you like a cherry on top. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Aww. I agree that one of the saddest things is when a loved one loses their memory. :-( I'm sorry for your family's loss.

Thank you for sharing, your writing about her and your family, is poignant and rich. My grandmother went much the same was as your grandfather and remember well the love/pain and confusion/frustration. I am sorry for your loss and would encourage you to keep writing. Just write them out, the stories, the memories of sitting around the table, talk into a tape recorder, whatever works.
