Ok tiny sandpaper...I can't find here in England.
Can I use rubbing alcohol or will my dolls' faces sizzle off...I heard it was ok but I'm doing a double check PLEASE comment if you know anything!

Hi! I found sandpaper up until 2000 grid in one of the "decoration/contruction" supermarkets here. But actually 1000-1200 would be the best, 2000 makes the face too shinny.

And using alcohol works for me! But I don't think it will take gloss varnish... It's good for quick removing of unsealed but already dried acrylics though. Just make sure you'll wash the face with soap after it :)

oh right! thank you! So if I want to gloss varnish say...the lips I need to sandpaper them to make it rougher? Or will it go on over acrylic?

As for sandpaper looks like I'll fly over to...where are you portugal? :D

Oh, no no! :) You can apply brush-on gloss varnish over anything! I actually do 3-4 layers of gloss coating for lips to make them extra shinny (just gotta wait enough in between applyng new layers). One exception for pastels - if you want to put gloss varnish over pastels, the area will need to be matte-sprayed first. What I meant is that alcohol won't remove paint under gloss varnish. So if you need to get rid of stock lips, you'll need to sand them off.

I've tried using rubbing alcohol on Mikhaila. It didn't hurt her at all. It took forever to take her makeup off, though.
