So what is the R4? It is a chinese DS cart that  allows you to play homebrew games and DS roms via a MicroSD. It supports up to the current standard of 2gb. It might support 4 and above, but it isn't official and wasn't designed for it. It boots straight from startup preventing the DS from accessing the system menu. This was the first game I bought for my Wii. I put it down and then eventually let a co-worker borrow it since Metroid Prime 3 was released. Now that it is winter break and I don't have money to spare for anything new, I gave it a go.
