"I loved him, and he died. He died saving the world."

When the world begins to bleed - the skin of the known universe cracking like bloody knuckles, messy - or parting like skin under a scalpel, clean and frightening -
When anyone who cares or dares to look can see beyond the surface -
Selina Kyle is the first to slip through a fissure in the world and land in the otherThe same, really. But so different. Brighter, maybe. And she's incredibly out of place, but that's a fact that belongs to her soul and not her location

And just like that she's becomes not a thief and not an enemy...something else, something she never expected again.
Because Stark absolutely expects that she will want to help. He doesn't ask, he doesn't try appealing to her morality, he just proceeds on the assumption that thwarting the destruction of two universes is something she wants a hand in, should have a hand in

Oh God, this was gorgeous and beautifully conceived. I really love how you write--the things you leave out that aren't really necessary, but part of the story all the same.
Oh, Karl. Karl in any form. Karl in the rain. Karl listening to the radio. Karl putting the moves on someone. Karl getting dressed. Karl getting UNdressed. I leave it up to you. :D
You know, a lot of people talk about Steve Roger's shoulders and his ass and his face - ALL VALID - but I just have to mention.. he's got amazing hair, too.
Forgive me if this is a super-obvious question, but what's you're favorite Steve Roger's pairing? And do you have any bits of fanon for him that are different from what other people tend to write?
He is not a virgin. Why does everyone equate being a gentleman and keeping his and Peggy's goings on private with "hurr hurr, Captain America is a virgin."
He is not naive, sheltered, or ignorant (in either sense of the word). Dude spent a few years tooling around World War II with the Funny Hat Brigade and has anyone every witnessed a bunch of soldiers sitting around in a warzone not swearing and telling stories and being total dudes? Also, he was a leader in that war. He made decisions about men's lives. Anyone who thinks (Tony in first half of Avengers, I'm looking at you) that Cap is just a spangly suit is not seeing the man who wears the suit

First of all, there is no such thing as tl;dr with regards to Steve Rogers. I'm tempted to reply to this in multiple comments to justify all the Steve Rogers icons I have.
