Will I ever stop missing him?

Driving back down south from No. CA yesterday (7 hours), I was reminded how much I miss the Bailenator. I have never liked long drives and I don’t think he really did either, but I think he preferred to be with me rather than being left behind.  He loved to be with me even if he didn’t like the drives (or at least I’d like to believe so.)

I was ( Read more... )

You'd have made a great Bailey-sitter. I'd have trusted you with him . . . and I didn't trust too many people with him.

That was great to read. Thanks, I definately can understand the bond one can have with a dog, especially with Flash only being gone about a month now. I just regret that I never had the chance to meet Bailey or vice versa.

HUGS

Yeah, was thinking about how you lost Flash recently and can totally relate to how you must be feeling. :-(

Thanks.

Its still so fresh. I'm still finding myself waiting to see him come in the kitchen when I open the frig. When his eye sight was failing, he liked the light we thought. Same with looking down when Im making dinner, especially something with meat.

Your stories of him are awesome, he is quite a dog

*big hugs*

I've always loved your stories about Bailey -- you've made him very real through your stories of him throughout the years. And he will always be a part of you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. In a way, he defined me. People understood me better when they saw us together. We were Timmy and Lassie. :-) I often feel a little lost without him now, but cherish all the memories and great years we had together. I was so lucky. I never took that for granted one single day. No dog was ever loved so much.

So how's the pup???

It never goes away... you will always have your love for Bailey, and with that comes the pain of missing that part of your heart that you gave to him. It's bitter sweet, but more sweet as time goes by...

For me, there will never be a dog as special as Bumper... Luke and I still tell each other stories about Bumper, reminding, reliving, keeping her alive in our memories.

Sending my love out to you....xoxo

Thank you, sweetie.

Yeah, I always sensed Bumper was a special dog who held a special place in your heart - and always will.
