I received a couple of happy birthday emails and wanted to say thank you!

You know what’s really odd is that I have always kept my F-list pretty small (never more than 70-ish  which is about where  it is now) and I have TWO people on there that have the exact same birthday  (mercury1975 and kerouacvictim ). Of course they are long gone from posting, but still - happy

goodness, forgot that you are another August birthday...I wish you good things in this year, and a holiday in WeHo that is refreshing and restful. For now, it sounds SO good, your activities in the City. Lots of rest, quiet, people, rest, people, and any other activities you choose in this weekend.

I am going to Whistler on the 8th, I'm calling it a retreat, much like your past week--busy stress at work, and when in Whistler, simply sleeping, resting, vegetating, with some walks to and around Lost Lake.

And I'm very glad that you're mom is in a stable situation, so you can hope to take your holiday to WeHo. May she remain stable. Bless you both (well, your dad too!)

September birthday, but thank you!

I went out tonight and bought a homeless guy a huge meal and paid for another homeless guy to get a room at a hostel. My birthday present to me - to make their lives just a little better for one night. Better than any gift.

Wondering how the new job is going. We need to catch up.

Ah San Francisco and birthdays. Union Square is such a fun place to people watch. As much as I love sitting at Spike's in the Castro, I head to the Coffee Bean on Market Street and enjoy the views.

That view sounds great, I had one similar to that when I stayed at the Park Hyatt down in the Embarcdero years back.

Great to see your Mom is doing better too, hope you enjoyed that day!
