Another progress report, and my first flat tire ever.

Not much to report.  I was stuck at 149-150 which I think is a little less than last time I posted.  I was telling a friend I think it's a pretty healthy weight for me and not too thin.  Then I said, what's happening to me??  "Too thin" and "healthy weight" were two word combos that didn't exist in my vocabulary before.  ha!

But I'd still like to ( Read more... )

The plateau sucks but lightening up for a few weeks is more fun I agree totally! Im about 5 lbs above where I want to be ...well last time I was on the scale before we moved. Now that we have moved and ive been making food at home again, Id guess I'm down 2 lbs again but I haven't been on the scale yet.

It was blistering hot out here today. At 6 pm it finally dropped to a cool 97 from 106 in the mid afternoon per the phone but someone who lives near me says it was 109. We of course had to move in the hottest month.

We have everything but the horses at the new place now. (They are down the road at my friend's house as their pens are not built here yet and I'm working on shade for them.) The old house has been cleaned and is ready for pictures and to be relisted for sale by owner.

Good to hear from you.

You moved! Yay! Was wondering what was going on with all that. Interested to hear how it's all going when you get a chance. Good to hear from you too!

You're a lucky man for making it this far without a flat tire! And a very lucky man for having an auto club membership. :)

Right? I can't believe I finally had one. I was getting cocky thinking I was going to make it through my entire life without ever having one. So much for that dream. ha!

Since I have been doing a lot of commuting from LA to the Bay Area due to the parental situation, I got the Platinum AAA membership or whatever they call it, but for about $100 a year I am entitled to one 200 mile tow and 3 more 100 mile tows per year. Since it's about 400 miles each way, I figure even if I break down right at the half way point, I can have my car towed all the way to the Bay Area or down to LA - whichever way I'm headed, but it also covers reimbursement of expenses for hotel, car rental and more up to around $1500 if I need it. It's worth the money just for the peace of mind.
