Spent all day Friday back at Cedar Sinai (hospital). A friend tripped and took a face plant cracking the bone going around his eye socket and had to have plates put in to get it to heal right.  So I took him, of course. This is the same friend who had back surgery recently. This has not been his year.  I just hope if or when I ever have a health

Sounds like things are right in your world and I'm glad to hear that! Yay for hitting goal weight and wearing clothes that you love again! And inspiring people is a bonus too.

Things here are ridiculously busy. I need to make time for a real post...with some photos at the new ranch.

The horse we took to Breeders Cup last year has been invited to come again this year so the family is off to kentucky next week. I'm too buried with work, ranch projects and our own house needing rehab to sell it to go. Plus i have 2 race horse layups in right now, another needs to come home and my 2 boys...but they are loving the new barn.

Hey there! Your life does sound crazy right now! How exciting about the Breeder's Cup, but you can't go??? No place more classic place to see races than Kentucky and the Keeneland track is supposed to be beautiful.

I always wanted to go to the Kentucky Derby. My mother's family is from Kentucky going back generations. She was born there and I come from 3 generations of Kentucky Colonels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kentucky_colonel) including my mother, maternal grandfather and great-grandmother so every year my mother gets a special invitation to the Derby, but we were never able to go. :-(

I think I must just give off an air of being "approachable" - or something. I don't know. But I like it.
