We're going to another L'Arc-en-ciel concert at the end the month. It's going to be in Tokyo Dome. I'm excited but I have one regret: we should have gotten tickets for June 1st because we're having some conflicts with activities in our respective Filipino and German scholars organizations. Oh, well.... shikata ga nai

the english one is just a translation of the german isn't it? I sort of stopt reading up on TH when I realized that I can't bring myself to going to see the concert last year. But I was on about Bill being cute quite a while back, remember? And I wouldn't say the androgynous look is a totally new thing - it was just out of fashion for quite a while with mainstream people :D

Yes, the English album 'Scream' is made up of selected songs translated from the 2 German albums. It was actually you who first mentioned Tokio Hotel to me and I was just looking them up over the weekend. I remembered them when I read a yahoo article on celebrity get-ups. They mentioned Bill as wearing guyliner, finger male polish and an outdated skull motif shirt. :D Why can't you bring yourself to their concert?

Here in Japan, almost all male celebrities, either singer or actor, try to look more androgynous. The more popular ones are particularly young boy bands that I'm afraid will end up like mushrooms -- here today, gone tomorrow.

I just figured I'd be the only grown up who' not only accompanying their children because they're too young to go there on their own - and I always hated teenagers - even when I'd been one myself :)
And then I realized I didn't even like their music that much so it just wasn't worth the hassle.
