When God predetermined our destiny, He factored in our stupidity. Therefore there's always enough time to finish. - Larry Randolph

Of course God does. He knows what we are gonna do, and still has it as our destiny to do it, even though we will be stupid.

It would be wrong to assume that because we have not been punished or that God has never brought it up with us that He must be ok with our not so smart decisions. Or that He even planned for it. The fact is that the decisions we make greatly affect God's plans and we can screw them up. But He forgives and restores us and continues to be madly in love with us and use us mightily.

Why would it be wrong to assume God knows that we are gonna mess up? If He didn't know that, wouldn't make him not God. And He is God. He knows every breath we take before we take it, and what we will do. Its not that He is ok with our not so smart decisions. He ultimate goal is intimacy with us and for us to truly worship Him. He wants us in a place where that can happen. That is why He does give us Grace. And Love and mercy. We don't deserve it. We sin continuously.

I don't follow him that closely. It's hard to keep track of so many awesome speakers, but I've heard some of his stuff and I think he's great. He's very down-to-earth.

Hey.. that's okay. you both were right! just a little misunderstanding. that was a good point- we shouldn't misuse God's grace or think He doesn't hate sin with a passion. He IS slow to anger and rich in love and is patient with us, wanting all to repent, but He is also a consuming fire and perfectly holy. Therefore, we should fear Him and worship Him with reverence. And I'm sure He is saddened when we make poor choices and don't rely on Him for counsel and direction (actually, presumption is a sin)... making our journey more difficult than it needs to be, but alas, we are sheep learning to follow our Shepherd's voice and stumble many times along the way ( ... )

Good quote :)
The point is that we never have grounds to loose hope, cause God never lets go or gives up.. He knows everything about us.
The things we consider failures are used to teach us and lead us in new directions...
"Be full of hope, and don't be discouraged.. for God is with you always." - me haha.
Bless You,.. this is a great reminder :D
