I lived there over the summer for foriegn exchange... In Spanga (suburb outside of Stockholm) to be exact. It's a Beautiful country and the people are the nicest I have ever met yet. I love your nation, to say the least. It changed my life.
How come your LJ is in English?
You live on Gotland? I stayed there for a week with my host family. It's magnificent. :-)
Thank you for the kind comment on my LJ. :-) You're welcome back anytime and don't be shy!
I live outside of Gothenburg (must be some kind of LJ mix-up). What brought you over to Sweden? We're not exactly an extraordinary country...
And I'm not sure why I write in English... I do know a lot of English-speaking people, but none of them are aware of my LJ, so I don't know. One of my little quirks, I guess. :)
Believe me, I will be back, and if there's one thing I'm not, it's shy! ;)
I picked to live there because the DC area knows NOTHING about Sweden, or Scandinavia in general. I thought it'd be more fun then going to like France or something. I learned a lot. Plus, the Socialist thing is different and unique... i wanted to experiance life with that type of government structure.
That's good your journal is in English because I can read it! :-) I don't know much Svenska besides the phrases 'Tyst', 'Sluta Leigo', and 'Slang dig y vaggon' haha and I don't think one could go about writing an entire entry with only those words.
