Unfortunately for Rin, Neku's not exactly knowledgeable on the subject of American folk songs, so even if he decided to just humor her, he can't. So he ends up just standing there awkwardly, debating on whether or not talk to her or just walk away after a customary greeting.
Conclusion? He should at least try to talk to her a little. It's not like Rin's been anything but nice to him since he came here... ]

It's nothing to worry about. And I dunno about my "parent's" plans for fireworks tonight...yet. (I wasn't exactly keen on finding something like that out when there's other things I'm better off learning while everyone seems harmless.)
