My HS ran into the same problem when my sister was a senior...the top 10 students in her grade all had 4.0 GPAs. They ended up going to grades like 4.023 VS 4.024 to see who would be Valedictorian. But maybe this school didn't use a number system??
My high school had two valedictorians. I can't remember why. I think more than that got 4.0's. I think amanda had a 4.0, but she wasn't valedictorian. Maybe she had one B. I always figured valedictorian was decided for 'overall outstanding achievement' which meant you were ranked number 1 in the class. Surely one of those students was better than the rest.
Maybe they should have all had a pit knife-fight. Last student standing is valedictorian. They could have charged admission, raised some money for the junior class boosters or something...
