If you haven't seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yet, you should. It's gorgeous to look at and parts of it are funny as hell. Picture 30 duplicates of Deep Roy dancing on a classic Tim Burton set belting out a Danny Elfman rendition of a Roald Dahl poem, sounding like they're a fever dream of the Brady Bunch. The giant-chocolate-bar-as-monolith bit had me doing my thing where I'm the only one in the theater laughing and I'm laughing real loud.

So, yeah, I concur.

yeah, dave and I were doing the comparison thing, and the chocolate-eating thing last weekend when we saw the movie. And hey, we actually had the wonka bar *during* the film.

The film was so weird. And very entertaining. But I must admit I didn't like how much they went into WW's past - I think they could have hinted at it (the dentristy thing was at least a little funny) and left more to the imagination. Also, it would have made more ethical sense if the other kids were trying to steal the gobstopper from WW and that's why he booted them instead of, well, just being intolerably annoying.
