Could this PLEASE happen on the show??! I mean really!

I was talking to one of my friends last night about Glee and she doesn't really get into the whole ship aspect of the show. And she said, "Why is Rachel dating Finn? Can't she see that he gets dumber every week? She's better then him and can do better then him." All I could say was, "WORD!"

Haha. I'd be happy if it went this way on the show, with them being all couple-ish before they got together and then realising that they could actually be a couple that like, worked out and everything.
