Finally finally finally had a day off today. I worked fourteen days straight, so today was pretty much amazing. Tomorrow undoubtedly will be too. I had a day of doing absolutely nothing today, which is so rare. I can't remember the last time I just lazed around in bed until midday. Hopefully fic comes tomorrow, because I'm getting more than a ( Read more... )

working fourteen days straight? You poor thing! I just ended a ten straight day work "week" and I'm dying, don't know how you did it.

Yeah... it occurs quite frequently to me. Haha. I don't like turning down teaching work because it's great experience and I'm "trying" to get a full time teaching job next year. It just sucks that it means my work week is longer since I already work Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the job I've been at for almost 4 years and I do tutoring on Wednesday and Saturdays too... so it can make it into a crazy long week. And because I work retail (that's the job I've been at 4 years), it's coming into our busiest seasons and I'm only being rostered off Monday and Tuesday - which are now the only days I'm "allowed" to accept relieving work, although I'd say I'll be changing that, haha, since it's rare work, and better money, ... so these long brutal weeks could be a much more frequent occurance. I sleep a lot, but I don't recommend them AT ALL.

Yeah they sound horrible. I think my long weeks are the reason I got sick.

Hopefully you'll get a break soon! Though I don't blame you for wanting the experience. If my job related to what I wanted to do career wise I'd be there 24/7

I had an amazing three day weekend (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) which felt like the best thing to ever happen to me.

(And it got even more spectacular yesterday with the arrival of the Mark Salling CD. Signed. Because my sister is amazing.)

I'm just trying to look after myself and sleep as much as I can and remain drama free while I work insane hours. This week should hopefully just be a five day week, followed by Monday and Tuesday off next week. I HOPE.

YES! YES! Yay!

How awesome was the last book? I just couldn't stop reading it, or the entire series actually. And I'm so glad you like Percy/Annabeth. They are amazing, especially in the fifth book, I can't even count how many times I went "Ahh" because of their scenes. And now I finally have someone to about them with! Lol

The entire series was just amazing. I could not stop reading. The last book... oh man, I just had no idea at all how it was going to end. No joke, I read 2 and a half of those books in one day, I was so obsessed and desperate to get to the end... and then I didn't want it to be the end. Haha. They are sooo cute together, definitely meant to be. I love how they're so.. sixteen, like, the relationship you have at sixteen where it's all awkward and cute and perfect, and they're just a good match. Could not believe they were almost trying to sell us Rachel/Percy. NO WAY. I was marking all the pages where I liked stuff on so I could do one massive post... but most of it was Percy/Annabeth so... possibly pointless? Haha.

I didn't want it to end either, but it was so intense that when I started I couldn't stop.

They are so cute! I love how they just started as friends and then you can see the sudden changes and you get to hear Percy's thoughts about how he's starting to feeling more then friendly towards her, it's so cute. Ugg Percy/Rachel! I hated that they kissed before him and Annabeth but I loved how the guy from camp was like, I'm assuming you don't want me to tell Annabeth, so it was like she was involved still.

Hey a post of just Percy/Annabeth could never be pointless, lol, because they're awesome.

Haha I think Annabeth was in the back of his mind from the very beginning. But Rachel just seemed like such a ridiculously pointless character, and annoyed the hell out of me.

I'll reread and then make a big post maybe. Haha. I'm such a nerd. I also need to track down a copy of the Lightning Thief that has a different ISBN number to the one I have because the errors annoy me.
