The Masses Are Asses

Just got home from watching, "Starsky and Hutch" with my broogs, Danny, Miko, and the long lost Matty-O. The movie was sub-par if not par, but I was intrigued by one particular part of the movie. The part takes place at Hutch's pad involving two attractive young females on each of Hutch's arms, and like the 70's an orgy is about to ensue so one of ( Read more... )

i don't know if its right or not or if its just a giant sexist feeling of mine, but i find that halariously funny, i'm not trying to be sexist, but just that people find two women kissing enough to clap over, oh and my favourite clapping experience at the movies, at the end of star wars: episode 1 the phantom menace, i found it incridibly stupid that people were clapping considering there was no real triumph so i hope they were clapping because they thought it was a good movie

ya I don't think I ever clapped over a movie in the theatres, but I would be flattered if people would clap at the of a movie I made. But then some moments later, I would think they are the lowest end of the intelligence spectrum. haha, I tried to counter their stupidity though, at an infunny or dry moment in the movement I just started clapping and acting like an idiot. Seconds later as the reply comment was given 2 people started clapping. Its almost like they are puppets and anything can trigger them to particular response. Puppets I tell you!

all my friends want to see that movie
im going to tell them you siad it was shit
HA!

theres nothing inherently wrong with pop culture
on the suface it seems all nice and fluffy, but non of the idiots realize of course that there is a huge corporate backing behind everything your seeing. if you want to follow a trend, go ahead, but at least realize that you ARE following a trend, and that all the ideas and values you think are 'unique' are actually fabricated by the big 5.
its a scary world

man, clapping at a movie is nothing. you should see the onslaught of your typical "western" girl up here. honestly, like a mould. one after the other, with those inuit boots, tucked in pants, parka jackets, j-lo glasses, designer mittens, its hilarious. but whatever, i dont think it really affects a person that much, everyone has their own thing, and nothing is really original--especially movies these days. i mean look at an actor like adam sandler, he is the anti-orignal of the film industry, and only does movies to promote DC shoe. co. haha.

You see, i would disagree with you there about your final comment. I think the most unoriginal actor these days is Mike Myers. Comparing him to Jim Carey who puts a different character into each one of his movies to watching the "cowardly lion" mixed with "shrek's patented irish accent that was used for fat bastard and the father in 'so i married an axe murderer'". of course austin powers was a pretty original idea for making a farce on old spy movies, but he then created 2 other ones...so if there is a fourth one coming out, its kinda over done. Anyway, i think Adam Sandler is in between -- he is a reuser of certain characters and some plots are quite similar, but he writes romantic comedies [thus the genre itself is kind of prone to similarity since it is either two people not knowing each falling in love with each other or two people knowing each other falling in love]. And, DC Shoe Co. product placing [who Mike Myers actually 'originated' I'll give him that, but I am placing bets that it was Dana Carvey] and ending a movie on some ( ... )

WHAT ABOUT THE "t"??

p.p.s. your lj is very sexy....you should put pictures of you mixed in with "x-tina" and it would be even sexier. sexier still, all pictures of you!! BE VAIN! REPROSENT, Y'ALL!!

p.p.p.s. thanks for adding me and adding me and thank you commenting =]

THANK GOD I'M NOT ALONE.

Great post, dude... hang in there, the cultural revolution is coming. No one WANTS to be a sheep... and as soon as they find out they are another nameless consumer buying into all the bullshit and lies, they will change, if only for shame. Pretty soon it will be uncool to be an ignorant ass, and people will start to think for themselves... or maybe I'm just idealistic. :P

thank you Scott, its good to know there is an underground of non-ignoramuses amassing, ready to take over once the corporate whores have been killed off through their CTD's [consumer-transmitted-disease]. People will awaken, like you say and begin to go against the teacher, mother and former lover...Materialism. Even if it is idealistic, it is a good ideal to hold.
