Anyone else remember the crashing numbers after 2000? So far, the stock market looks to have crashed 20% over the last month. After the 2000 bubble burst, we were down 60%, folks ( Read more... )

Crap, it figures. I didn't get my buy order in for the S&P500 index fund today. So, the earliest I can buy in is end of day tomorrow (the index fund buy in only occurs at end of day, and I don't feel like playing with a SPYDR). I bet you that the market goes up tomorrow. The past week the market has only dropped on days I didn't have a buy set up (I'm cost-averaging in some cash in my retirement fund - I sure as hell am not looking to make anything in less than 10 years, nevermind 5).

You can't say the bailout didn't help unless you have a credible estimate of how much worse it would be without the bailout...
