*nods* I know they don't have the capacity right at this moment, but I'm sure that Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, etc could pick up the slack if the "Big 3" failed. Most "foreign" cars are built here now anyway.

Yea, I mean I know that Ford claims to own part of Mazda but I have always been curious if its the other way around. I know that one of the ford plants here near Louisville was converted to a toyota plant.

*nods* well true. I mean they employee huge numbers, provide huge amounts of tax revenue to the US each year, etc etc etc. If they fail, it will be a hit to the US economy, which is already very fragile. But honestly I think bailing them out would be just as bad as if they just died. Either way we lose. The US government really don't have 26 billion laying around to hand to these people.

Especially to a group of people that have already proven they wont be responsible with the money. Like the private jets they flew to DC to beg for money.

That's like a homeless guy on the corner begging for money to eat, but he is wearing a pair of new Nike's.
