Hahaha...first off, thank you sooo much for letting me join, I know you guys must be inundated with requests bc of the spotlight feature. Second...my name isn't actually Ursula, lol, BUT "Ursula Georgi" is a character in an old movie called Thirteen Women, which could DEFINITELY qualify as a movie that should have been MST'd. It's hilariously atrocious and bad, and I love it. Maybe Mike and the guys will dig it up one day and Rifftrax it.

Phew! I won't have to kill you! :D I guess you might have covered that in your user info, but I just got back from working out, so I can't possibly be bothered to read. I'm getting TONS of requests to join, so I'm just approving everyone - maybe it will give people some "cool down" time or something? More time to read the comm before making hasty posts? I don't know, but I'm glad more MSTies are finding the community.

I have a small obsession with Asian Myrna and the alternative, Ambiguously Ethnic Myrna. Thirteen Woman is the best example of Myrna in this mode. It should be regarded as a camp classic!

HAHAHAHA AMBIGUOUSLY ETHNIC MYRNA (henceforth known as AEM I'm adapting this into my everyday Myrna vocabulary). YOU ARE MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON.
I just bought a repro of a Mask of Fu Manchu poster that features Asian!Myrna at her most fierce. She's going to preside over the living room when I move into my new apartment next month.
And I agree, Thirteen Women should have a bigger cult following and it is def the best example of AEM. I think Ursula is actually described somewhere as "Javanese," but I don't even know what the hell that is and I think someone made it up.
I usually don't babble this much, but it's really late and I get really excited when someone wants to talk about Asian!Myrna.

Hi, I randomly came across your profile and thought we had several things in common. Mostly, I love the fact that you were a theatre major (I was too for a year, but I gave in to the pressure and switched) and that your journal title is from Into the Woods (I was in the show in high school!).
